So I used the website people post up to decode the serial number. Is there benefits from knowing the place it was manufactured and the week it was made? Mines was made at Foxconn during week 1. Is there pros and cons to it? or is it just information for the owner?

Also, Is it safe to be inputting the serial numbers in the decoders?

It might be useful someday just in case Apple issues a recall for a known issue. For example, a recall for iPads manufactured on Week 2, January 2012 for defective screens. Knowing which week, you'll know instantly if your unit is amongst affected with the recall

My screen is definitely a warmer color temp. Based on reviews and the commonality of it on here, I am thinking they were born this way. :)
