2 LCD's Connected to a powerbook?

Which video card do you have? The ATI 9700 has dual DVI support so you can drive the Apple 30 inch Display. I'd guess that it will power two separate monitors as well.

I know that there is no other way to hook up a monitor that is built in to the powerbook. You might be able to buy a 32 MB PC card slot video card and hook it up to that, but I've never tried this. Also, there seem to be some USB to VGA adapters that allow you to hook up an extra monitor, but the resolution is limited to 1280x1024 at best, and sometimes 1024x768.

What about SVIDEO on one monitor> PowerBook < DVI monitor?

Sorry, but you can't do that. The card can only power 2 screens, the internal one and one external one (even in clamshell mode it can only drive one external screen).

The external DVI can be Dual-Link (this was optional), but this does not mean that it is Dual (as in 2 screens).

I just think its too bad my 12 inch pbook doenst have a pcmcia slot because I would of bought that adapter already!

I don't know if any of you guys have ever heard of Smalldog.com, they are an Apple Specialist here in Vermont. They have on display, a PowerBook running two externals display, one using the regular DVI connector and the other using the VTBook PCMCIA adapter. Maybe it was just this computer they had, but it ran very slow. Just trying to stop the screen saver took a few seconds and Expose was virtually impossible. If I remember correctly, this was a 15" 1GHz Aluminum PB so maybe your newer computer would do better.
