Is it possible to take an unlimited data plan on a Verizon iPhone 4 and move it to the new iPad? This would put the phone on tiered data but then you would have unlimited LTE on the iPad. Is this possible?

I think there may be a way. I know if you have a Verizon LTE Sim from a 4G phone it will work in a Verizon iPad...

Yes, there is. But first you have to upgrade to a 4G LTE phone because you'll need a 4G sim card. Once you have the sim card, you can take it out and put it in your iPad. Voila! Unlimited data.

But aren't you still paying for voice service? And if Verizon chooses to throttle its smartphone users, you're hosed since you've got a smartphone SIM.

Can I upgrade to a 4G LTE Sim and still use my iPhone somehow? I have a Verizon Sim in my iPhone now but I'm not sure what it does.

And who cares if you're throttled on unlimited data. If they throttle you after 5 GB or 10 GB what does it matter when Verizon's data plans only go up to 5 GB or 10 GB?

Yeah what a joke, what good is LTE on limited plans really?

Its like getting a giant straw for a drink with only 4 oz. of liquid.

So really in the end it's going to cost you $30 for the unlimited data plus minutes/texting plan; and another phone plan so you still have a cell. Right?
