Remove all data without restore on 4S

I am selling my 4S today and I need to remove all the data while keeping my jailbreak. How can I do this?

If the phone is jailbroken won't this put the phone into a boot cycle?

It shouldn't - I've done it on a JB 3GS, but not the 4S.

I see, maybe it depends on the jailbreak tool used? I did it on a 3gs and my hung up. Had to put into DFU mode and restore it.

Haven't tried it on a 4S myself

Edit: BTW I think I remember that there is an app on cydia that enables you to remove your settings, personal data, etc. I don't remember what the name of it is but you might find an answer in the hacks forum.

This will always throw the iOS device into a boot cycle and can only be fixed by restoring. Since the 4S cannot use blobs, the only thing to do then would be to restore to 5.1, which would be bad for the OP.

Gotcha didn't know that. I'm not as seasoned as many on here regarding jailbreaks since my 4 is not jailbroken. My last one I had that was jailbroken was my 3gs.

Best of luck finding resolution!

Thanks for correcting me, I wasn't aware of that.

Get ifile to delete big chunks in your file system that may be sneaking around. Download springtomize 2 and use their handy tool that allows you to delete Cydia preferences. There's no restoring or wiping for you sadly without totally losing the jailbreak. So everything is painfully slow and cautious!

It does.
You cant do an erase all on a JB device.
It will always get stuck at the apple logo and need a dfu restore.
So to the OP dont do an erase all.
Only way to stay on JB 5.0.1 is to erase stuff manually on your phone.

I wouldnt go anywhere near removing any file system files. A wrong delete on that and your device will be stuck. Big nono.
Same thing with deleting cydia preference files or permissions.
You're taking a huge risk.
Just delete your contacts, pics, texts and apps manually. Log out of your apple ID from the appstore and that's it.

Once you manually delete try to purposely recover the old info without passwords. When you can't you know the new owner won't be able to either.
