Speck iPAD 3 cases

I just spoke to Speck customer service and they said they'll be releasing the new iPad cases tomorrow. I am looking to get the fitfolio

- good case that protects front and back
- different viewing angles
- different typing angles

:)
 
FYI, the old iPad 2 Fitfolio fits the new one perfectly fine. Might save a few bucks. I picked mine up at Walmart for $30.

Umm how did you get your FitFolio to fit your new iPad? I had the FitFolio for my iPad 2 and I tried it on my new iPad as soon as I got it and it didn't fit. I love the FitFolio.
 
I got the same confirmation too. CandyShell wrap in matte finish, and magnetic on/off function, PLEASE! And if you can, more colours would be splendid.
 
wondering if i should wait til the 'new ipad' smartshell is released or go for a cheaper ipad 2 version...thoughts?
 
Can anybody compare the FitFolio to the SwitchEasy Canvas? Specifically, is it thinner (and less bulky in general) than the Canvas?

Same question from me, I cannot get my new iPad to fit in the case. No matter how hard I try one of the corners won't fit all the way in.
 
I have a Pixelskin HD wrap on my ipad 3 right now and love it. I would definitely buy another if they update it to support on/off function.
 
I got Fitfolio from Walmart and it fit iPad 3 perfectly.

Fitfolio pros:
1- create its own stand surface and can stand on bed or non flat/ solid surface
2- protect corners
3- not cover bezel
4- great looking and comfortable leather-Like
5- multiple landscape positions

Cons
No turn on/off

Is it made for the new iPad or iPad 2? My iPad 2 FitFolio does not fit my new iPad.

So does yours fit your new iPad? If so how did tu get it to fit? The corners on my FitFolio won't latch onto the corners of the new iPad. The new is a little too thick for the FitFolio. Can you post a pic?

Awesome I've been waiting for a speck case... Their stuff is top notch. I just hope they don't only have ugly colors like for their Samsung galaxy sii case

Many people reported that Fitfolio fit the new iPad. That was how I know about it and drove to Walmart to get it.

It just fits and I did not force it or do anything special. Just drop in the right side of the iPad in first. Then push down the left side. It snaps right in.

Agree that speck cases are top notch. I have iPhone case and now iPad case from speck.

Well alright, I got mine to fit in my FitFolio iPad 2 case but you gotta give it quite a bit of force on the left side to get it to snap in. Plus since the new iPad is thicker, the cover isnt flush with the right side. But that's kinda nitpicking though. If the new FitFolio has a sleep function, I might get that.

I just slid it in carefully. I don't like it because it's a folio, personal preference. But fits fine.

Better yet, Walmart doesn't have any iPad 3rd Gen cases yet...lol. At least none of the 4 I visited.
 
was checking out their fb page and read this..

"Speck hi Steven!! We will have a new SmartShell, it will be available in only Clear and Black to start. Coming mid-late April. We'll post more news and better dates soon! thanks!"

hope it comes out sooner than that :/

I picked up the fit folio for the iPad 2 from meijer for about $30 to try on my new iPad 3 I was so disappointed when I got home and it didn't seem to fit I was going to return it and looked online to see if one was coming for the iPad 3 then saw your comment so decided to try to fit it on my iPad one more time and it worked! I think I was just so worried that I needed to be extremely gentle. It was a little difficult to get on but fits great! Love this cover!
