Need help or info: 1200 mp3s without sound

Hello everyone,

I need some urgent help.
This weekend I have been removing all the tags of my mp3s and adding new tags, by using ID3 Tag Editor.
After that I have equalized all the dB levels to 99dB with Mac mp3Gain.

Now something really wierd has happend:
My Music File has 26 subfiles (for every letter of the alphabet) and the mp3s in file "A" and "P" don't give any sound when I try to play them at all.
I've tested it with iTunes, Songbird and VLC player...complete silent.

Yet all players see the mp3s, see their size and "play" absolute silence for the normal duration of the song.

The other 24 files have no problems at all.

set-up:
iMac with SL
External HD (Lacie 2TB) connected with Firewire (all mp3s are on it).
Latest version of Mac mp3Gain
Latest version of ID 3 Tag Editor

Does anyone know what has happend and how I can reverse this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Zendo

Well, after a few hours of cursing and screaming...and some technical stuff, I have found out where the problem lies:

It's MacMP3Gain: when pointing to files with a few hundred of mp3s, it weakens the audio upto a point where it is almost not hearable and this has happend to a lot of mp3s.

If I use it on one mp3 at a time, it works perfectly...unfortunally I will have to do this to almost 10.000 mp3s

It's going to be a great month

Does anyone know about a replacement app for MacMP3Gain?

I'm not really happy with this application. Is there another app where I can convert a batch of mp3s at the same time to the same level of dbA?
