Sony to lose more then $6 billion last quarter
The writing is on the wall. The iPod was the first warning shot. Sony didn't help themselves by their media spending spree, nor with the 2004 CD rootkit fiasco. They got too arrogant for their britches and got passed by Apple, Samsung and Microsoft. I don't see how Sony survives except as a shell of themselves.

This has been on the cards for a while now. I USED to like the TV'S but as you say, they got so arrogant, customer service and QC went down the toilet, and I haven't purchased a Sony product in over ten years. So many great value smart televisions around now that they won't be saved there either.
As you say, the writing is on the wall for a major downsize I think.
