I-Pod Nano 5th Gen - NO Music
I've had my i-pod for a year and half with no problems, I only really connect to my PC when I want to update new music purchsed.
Anyway I switched the i-pod on yesterday and it says that there is no music on it. When I reconnect to the PC it shows that the music is present but as soon as I unplug there's nothing to play.
Any advice? I don't want to reformat as there are some music on there that I can't get again so if there are other options please let me know.

Maybe there are virus with your iPod?
Do you have the musics in your iTunes library?
Since when you "reconnect to the PC it shows that the music is present", then can't you backup the musics to your PC?

Only advice I can give you is restore it to manufacturing settings and then update its software and re-up your music. Sounds like a Software issue to me but know one knows for sure until you try it.
