Install Bootcamp (win+mac) on external drive?
One of the things I love most about mac is the possibility to install the os on an external drive and have it run on any mac (almost) you plug it into.
I know you can't have windows on an external drive that you move around in a similar manner, but is it possible if you use bootcamp? |

I think bootcamp only works on internal drives. You could however miss out bootcamp and format the external drive and install Windows.

What I was looking for was the portability of having both mac and win on an external harddrive - would have been great

You can. Partition the external drive into two different sections. Install OS X in one partitrion and Windows on the other.
