Problem does not boot from cd installation

hello everyone
What happens to my macbook pro is I want to install the snow leopard and it looks like it installs but when you restart to continue with installation the screen goes gray and the apple logo. I tried several things from start to edit the installation, the boot disk, booting from the cd, after that I have to get hung PRAM makes cmd + alt + p + r to reload ... I've also ido to disk utilities and try to repair.

I have a Macbook pro5, 2 - 2.53 GJz Interl core i5
4GB memory

ID 6.2
Boot ROM MBP61.0057.B05
SMC 1.58f15

The MacBook Pro 5,2 uses a Core 2 Duo CPU, it is from 2009. The i5 was introduced on 2010 into the MBP line.

Anyway, that Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard install DVD you have, what kind of DVD is it? The grey Restore one or the white Upgrade/Retail version?

And it is in fact the 2009 MacBook Pro (5,2) and not a 2010 MacBook Pro with an i5 CPU? Because the 29 USD Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD will not work on 2010 hardware.

As it is a 2010 MacBook Pro 6,2, the DVD will not work.
You have to acquire the original Restore DVDs from Apple, which can cost as low as 10 USD, but it varies with your location.

The reason for the Upgrade DVD not working, is that it does not contain drivers for 2010 hardware, as it only contains Mac OS X 10.6.3 and the MacBook Pro came with a special build of 10.6.3. If the DVD would contain 10.6.4, it would work though.

PS: The Upgrade DVD only goes to 10.6.3, there is no Retail DVD with a newer version available.
