AlBook 15" 1GHz: Good Deal?

I'm looking at a 15" AlBook G4. It is stock, plus Airport Extreme card and 512MB RAM.
The blurb says that the screen has been replaced (under warranty, I assume), and the machine has "some scratches here and there", whatever that means.

The asking price is CAN$1500 (~US$1215), and local pickup.

Is this a good deal?

It's pretty good. I would rather have a new 1.33Ghz 12" PB Refurb for $1,299USD myself which have been on Apple.com alot lately.

It is a pity, but, AFAICT, we can't get refurbs in Canada... 🙁 that's another thing to add to the US-only list. 🙄

It's a good value, and a great machine, but two caveats:
1) Is it under Applecare? If so, for how much longer? I'm not sure I'd be comfortable owning a PB that wasn't under Applecare, because at any time, you could be hit with a $500 repair bill.
2) Buy more RAM! It is a bit of an older machine, so you'll need the horsepower. 1gig would be ideal.
