iOS WiFi sync vs Zune Wireless sync
Ok so apparently you don't have to be connected to AC power for iOS file sync, only for OS updates. Zune apparently is very limited, hopefully Windows 8 fixes this.

I've done it many times without plugging it in.
Same for icloud backups, but for that to happen automatically it needs to be plugged in. Can be manually initiated on battery though.

I tried wifi sync few times, and after Last.fm scrobbling didn't work, I plugged my iPod Touch through USB and everything was scrobbled, so scrobbling through USB working even if wifi or iCloud backups are enabled.
