How to disable podcasts from automatically playing the next in sequence?

I have found that the best way to get my wife's dance class videos onto her iPad is to set them up as podcasts (so that they are sorted by type and each type/folder has a visible title). However when playing any of the videos, when it is done the next in sequence automatically starts playing. This does not happen on the TV2 so it was a surprise. Sometimes this is a nice feature but not when practicing and skipping back and forth through the video. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I am finding that the iPads' built-in video utilities are sorely lacking for our needs (embarrassing would be a better word), and this is just one more frustration (no support for genres, movies and tv shows don't show titles, podcasts auto-delete by default, etc, etc, etc).
