Hi there!

So here we are
one step from the moment of releasing our first application to the AppStore.
It is an interactive book for children called "Amelia and Dread of the Night".

However, we are wondering which icon looks best (that's probably one of the most important things).
So we've selected 10 icons in our opinion looks the best but please share your opinions and vote for your personal best.
Try to think from parent's point of view wanting to buy cool app to a boy/girl.
Thanks in advance!

4, even if it's a dreadful story(for children? um...), it's better not to scare kids before they hit the buy button.

3 & 6 remind me too much of Coraline so I probably wouldn't click on them.

10 reminds me of psychonauts so I would skip also.

2, 7, 8 do not look like anything I would want to read to my kid.

5 invokes Miyazaki without aping it so I'd probably click on that.

Btw I applaud you for doing this. Icon design is super important and i have literally refused to download or delete stuff based on the icons.

Definitely 5. Cool character, I want to press it and see more. It's the most original and intriguing design in my opinion.

Also, I can't quite work out what's going on on his head - which is quite an effective 'click me' trick.

3, 6 or 10.

Yes I guess they remind me of Coraline but think some others are "scary" for an app icon.

I like the blue hues (unless it is purple -- colorblind here)
I like #6 slightly better than #3 as it seems there is more face (ever so slightly).
