I've been involved in a chat room with multiple people on iMessages for a while now. I feel as though the conversation is becoming irrelevant to me and therefore, I see no reason to stay in it. I've attempted to leave the chat room by clicking the small "x" on the bottom right of the conversation in the menu bar. However, when someone sends a new message to the group, I'm notified of it and catapulted back into the chat room. Is there any way I can leave the conversation entirely so that when other people in the room send a message I am not notified of it?

Is it Possible to Leave a Conversation in iMessages?

It's like a group email, or sms ing loads of people, there's no "chat room" to leave. You would need to get the others to stop sending it to you.
