Apple Back To School Offer

Since Microsoft is offering the free Xbox again for back to school, anyone have any thoughts on what Apple may offer this year?
Not sure of actual numbers but it seems with so many iPhones these days iPod sales may be down(?), you think they will possibly give those away?

Look for the same as last year, $100 Mac App Store gift card.

Apple has had the same educational discount for a very long time. In comparison to the offers made by other computer manufacturers, and the price tag of a Mac, Apple's deal is kind of a joke in my opinion. But if you can save $100, there is nothing wrong in that.

Apple doesn't need to give anything away since people actually want their products. MS does the Xbox deal ($199 retail btw, so only an extra 100 bucks) which is actually worse in my opinion. If you're a gamer, you've got a next gen console already. If you already have an iDevice, getting 100 for music/apps is a pretty cool way to continue to enjoy the device with new content.
