what's the best way of converting some chunks of text into images?

I'm writing a research article where some of my data (represented by text with line numbering) is supposed to be portrayed as images. What's the best way of creating images out of these texts, including the line numbers (I'm expecting them to give me problems)?

Can you just do [CMD]+[SHIFT]+[4], drag and take a screenshot (then use the PNG's)?

Screen shot is certainly the way to go! Make sure you have a good image editor too.

Is there anything you recommend? It would be good if I could sharpen the images a bit.

So, my publisher has come back to me and said the following about the four screenshots:

How do I fix this??
