Battery life running windows ?

In some tests they claim around 30 % less battery life running windows .

Is this the typical experience of people ?

What windows version has the best battery life ?
 
5~6 hours in Windows 7 Ultimate.
6~8 hours on OSX 10.7.4 Lion (half brightness, 1 backlit keyboard, just web serfing, bluetooth off)
 
I get about 25% less running WinXP on my 2009 MacBook Air, and if I'm playing a game? Battery life plummets, due to the cpu running, fans going, etc.

So, depends on what you are doing, how you are doing it, and any conservation measures you take.
 
i get a solid 4-5 hours. Websurfing with 10 plus tabs, watching videos on vlc, office.

Its not the best but im pleased with it. oh and i have the 13.
 
I find running a vm (using parallels) of windows 7 has little effect on battery life over just running OS X. I think that's because windows isn't having to deal with the hardware.

I wouldn't use Bootcamp, these days, on a Mac unless I was gaming when you really need to take advantage of CPU and RAM

Windows XP loads in about 8 seconds on a 5400rpm MBP 15" so imagine how quick on a 2011 MBA!
