iceterminal macrumors 68000 May 25, 2012 #7 Pandora will use battery if it is running. Regardless if its in the foreground or the background. If pandora is not actively running, but is not closed and resides in the background still, it should be be using any battery life.

Even if its in a frozen state (background). If you are listening to Pandora, it is using your battery charge. Clear it up for you? 🙂
