Hello all, so I've had problems in the past with my MacBook and external monitors, but now, NONE of my monitors detect my MacBook. The computer is saying that they're connected and I can even drag windows into it, but the monitors say that they have no signal. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, I'm running OS X Lion 10.7.4 on a mid 2009 White MacBook.

The first place to start is with the adapter and/or cable. Try your set up on another MacBook to verify the integrity of the adapter and cable. If you can't do that purchase another adapter.

The computer sees the monitor over a different set of wires in the cable than the monitor sees the laptop.
