Cannot download widgets for Dashboard

This is seriously frustrating. I get directed to the apple website to download widgets for the dashboard. There's no search function which makes it difficult to find what I want. When I finally DO find something, I click download and it routes me to an advertising site. WTF? How is this legit? I'm not filling out a stupid survey just to download a widget! Are any of you getting this?
