Hello,
How do you prevent Max Preview from opening last image viewed? If i look at a new image, it always opens up last image I looked at first. I find this annoying. Thanks, Bill

Is this on Lion? I.e. OS X 10.7?

By default all apps will restore on Lion so you need to close the open documents not just quit the app. I usually hit command W several times before hitting command Q.

You can also disable this feature by default in system preferences.

Under "General" - Uncheck Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps

On the other hand, if you're one of those people who do not find this annoying (like me 🙂) I left the feature on, but when you do need an app to not restore, you can use CMD+ALT+Q

And note that this is a system wide setting and applies to all apps, not just Preview.

You're right, but I prefer the CMD+W method only because it lets me see what was open and I find it much easier to type. I find most keystrokes that take more than one modifier key to type to be a bit of a pain, while I use CMD+single key very easily and frequently.
