iPhone 4s
Jailbroken 5.0.1

Never occurred to me until now they keyboard click volume is extremely low. Even at max volume I can barely hear it.

However if I open Siri, and then close it and then type the keyboard click volume is extremely loud!

What is going on here and how can I fix this?

I agree the keyboard clicks are quite quiet, I find this on the iPad too.

The only reason they are very loud right after using Siri is because the iPhone boosts the sound temporarily and it doesnt always revert back straight away.

They are loud(er) on my iPod touch 3rd gen though? So its hardware, not software? I have no sound problems anywhere else (that I notice).

I had a slew of volume issues after jailbreaking, your issue was one of them, and none of them should have had anything to do with the jailbreak. I just went back to stock.
