Can someone tell me if this is roughly correct.
1. Once in AAC, since lossy, I cannot go to FLAC or any other true lossless.
2. What is the storage size difference between FLAC and AAC.
3. Do people normally convert FLAC from torrents to AAC or use a 3rd party app to play it iTunes.

1. While you can create a FLAC from an AAC, you are correct in surmising that it would do nothing to the sound quality, only increase the file size.

2. The size will depend on the complexity of the music and stereo v. mono. On average though I think a FLAC is about three times the size of a 256 AAC/mp3 file.

3. I think most iTunes users convert FLAC files, either to ALAC (Apple Lossless) or to AAC.

Thanks. I assume ALAC is larger than AAC for storage (more like FLAC?)
