Verizon plan options when you bring your own iPhone?

Just curious if anyone knows - if I bring my own Verizon iPhone 4s (bought off CL) to Verizon and wanted service, what would my options be? Could I do a pre-paid monthly thing? Or would I have to sign a 2 year contract?

Ideally, I'm wondering if I could start a non-binding service with them until the fall, then upgrade to the new iPhone when it comes out.

You can do month to month but it'd be the same price as on contract

Thanks for the info. Yeah that is essentially what I'd be interested in. Getting Verizon service for the phone without having to sign a contract, then when the new iPhone drops, I could get it by signing a new contract at that time...
