Do i buy a new MBA 13" i5 SSD 128 GB or a used MBA 13" i7 SSD 256 GB middle 2011 for 1.000 $

Both have 4GB of RAM

Well early benchmarks are showing that the new i5 is actually faster than the old i7. So do you want:

USB 3.0
A slightly faster system (due to i5 and SATA III SSD)

OR

128gb of extra storage?

Only you can answer that.

Well the ivy bridge i5 is actually faster than last year's i7, so with the new machine you'll lose an extra 128 GB of SSD space, but it will be faster, have USB 3, and a 720p FaceTime camera. If you can live with the 128 GB I'd say go with the new model. If 128 GB isn't enough you'll probably regret the purchase.
