Currently have a MBP from 2008 and ready to get the wife her own computer.
I've liked the Airs for awhile now just never bought one.
Wife only needs laptop for email, internet, photos and Word. I would get the 256gb hard drive for sure and would contemplate moving some of my files over too it as well to make it a personal laptop for both of us. Meanwhile keep my 2008 MBP for Diablo 3 and CS5 design work. I want the 15" retina but, I don't want to buy the first model. I will wait for the second revision and hopefully the cost will come down. I use a 24" LED display as well.
So question is pick up refurb late 2011 or new mid 2012? The 24" LED would work on the Air through the thunderbolt port right?
