I missed an appointment yesterday and was baffled that my calendar alert never showed up. Upon further testing, I realized that the alert does in fact show up in the lockscreen, but disappears after awhile even if I had never unlocked the device. This is extremely frusterating as hypothetically I could be away from my devices and come back and never see the lockscreen alert, missing it entirely. Is this a bug, or does just Apple think that we need to habitually swipe down for notification center to see if we have anything up and comming?
