MacBook Pro 10,2 (Retina 13 inch?)

Seeing as the new retina pro is "MacBookPro 10,1" I googled "MacBookPro 10,2" which I assume would be the model for the 13 inch and it comes up with this:

I have never heard of this minibatterylogger but it seems they log battery results from machines kind of like geekbench. You can look at older models, including the new "old style" MacBook Pros (9,1 for the 15", 9,2 for the 13")

I have no idea how easy this would be to fake, but the result was uploaded on the 25th April, which was before we knew that the new MacBook Pros would use the 10,x identifier (though that wouldn't be hard to guess.)

Also the battery capacity seems in line for what you'd expect from a retina 13 inch. It has a manufacturer date of 1st March.

What do people think?

There is no 13" MBP with a retina display. That's only available on the 15".

That's the point, I'm talking about an unreleased model, similar to how the Ivy Bridge MacBook Pro showed up on geekbench a few weeks ago.

Pretty sure the OP knows that. He was suggesting due to the existence of the reference to a Macbook Pro 10,2 that a 13" retina is coming soon. Not that one is currently for sale.

I think he's well aware that there has not yet been a 13" MBP Retina announced. This is speculation about a future release

As you can see between the 9,1 and 10,1 MBPs there is a model that has both an IGP and a dedicated card. Would this be the 13 inch? or would it be one nearer the bottom of the list that's IGP only?

Your wishdream, i do rather go for a 17 inch rather than 13 inch, since 13 inches have been updated, but not 17 inches!

I don't know about easily, but it does power a retina screen. It currently powers the 15" retina under low loads. It'd do even better on a 13" with a slightly lower overall resolution.

Can't you link 2 thunderbolt displays to the 2011 13"? If the HD3k can do that...

Only one as far as I know. But a MBA powering its own display and a thunderbolt display is a total of 5M pixels, and that works with a HD3000.

A 13" retina display would be about 4M pixels, which would be fine for the HD4000. But how would it cope when you connect a second display?

edit: turns out you can use two thunderbolt displays with the 13". A total of 7.3M pixels running from the HD300.

And the HD4000 is quite a solid advancement on the H3000. I still have not seen a reason against a 13" retina.

I would love a 13" retina. I need to purchase a new computer soon, and the 15" retina is out of my budget, and just too big for my tastes. 13" is the size I'd like to have, and the price would be a bit lower which would hopefully help fit it into my price range.

Would be a perfect time to release it for me. Will have started Uni by then to get the discount and probably have the money too. What sort of price point do we figure? If the 15" is £1800, I'd imagine £1400?

Well the 15 Retina is the same price as the high end non retina, so by that logic the 13 retina would be the same as the high end 13 non retina - £1249. But I think that sounds too low, it would be better value than the air. Around £1400 sounds like a good bet.

I really really hope they don't stick in only 128GB and expect you to buy the high end for 256GB though.
