Now that there is some form of USB 3 support on the new MBP, anyone heard of any progress on the PCIe USB 3 card front? The cards out now seem expensive, buggy, and require drivers. I'd like to see the ability to use generic PCIe cards that are cheaper and plug n play with support built into the OS.
Hoping it's not a machine specific driver. Maybe 10.8?

I've had caldigit and highpoint and drivers have worked right through. No issues whatsoever even on mountain Lion builds. Not as fats as native but way better than usb 2.0.
