New MBA trackpad issues

So I just picked up my new MBA from the Fedex local office today and after trying to get it all setup and working properly, I realized that my trackpad is not working properly. It is very intermittent in whether it responds or not, to any gestures.

I did some researching and found an issue with the new retina Pro that had an update released already to fix the issue: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles...ad_issues.html

but I can't find any reports of the Air being the same. I ran all available software updates and it is still not working.

Already have a genius bar appt for tomorrow, but wondering if anyone else has had or heard about such issues? I'm worried that if it was a software issues on the retina Pro that other replacement Airs may have the same problems.

Is everyone else's 2012 Air trackpad working well, or are you having any issues?
