Sub-Domain

So everything seems to be working from earlier but now I'm ready to install some scripts.

Ive got mysql installed.

Now I'm looking at having some sub domains like cloud.mydomain.com.au and for that to direct to a folder with my site scripts (php scripts) in.
How do i set this up and where do i put the folder with the scripts in?
