Why? Is there some threshhold that makes it illegal to use a 9.5" GPS when a 3" or 4" is ok?

How did you do that?

Nice. I did the same, tethered to my phone with BTStack.

I got a window mount from frys.

Actually, yes. He said that he taped it to the windshield. 27 states forbid anything from being attached to the windshield other than inspection/emissions stickers and toll transponder devices.

6 more define areas of the windshield that can not be obstructed or maximum sizes of obstructions.

Too bad BT Stack GPS doesn't pick up the iPhone's GPS signal and send it to the iPad.

The ipad can play movies and that is called distracted driving. that is why most dvd car systems won't work while driving in the front seat.

Trygpsout 5 does that. I sync my iPad to my iPhone and it works perfect.

Even windshield mounting manufacturers disclose they are not to be used while driving.
