I've got an early 2010 MBP 17" i7, 8 gigs of RAM, and it seems to choke a lot when I'm editing 720p and 1080p video. I'm guessing the hard drive and the graphics chip are the limitation. I'm wondering if anyone out there is using the new MBA with the HD 4000 with FCPX, and whether it's acceptable. Thinking of getting an ultimate 11" MBA and the Thunderbolt display, wondering if this will truly be an upgrade from what I currently have. Thanks in advance....

I would like to hear some thoughts from MBA owners as well on video encoding in general (Handbrake, iMovie, FCPX, etc). How does the 2012 device handle running those programs?

Thinking of getting the 13" i7
