I'm looking to buy a new MBA soon and spotted that according to the mac website they run family workshops for kids 6 upwards.

Has anyone in the UK been to one? My 8 year old is increasingly needing a computer for school work and I'd like to be able to let him loose more in pages for producing the output, he's just not that computer literate yet (old fashioned parent here, I wanted him to get a love of books first...).

Next question, how can you get advance notice if the store closest to you is planning to run one , I work in MK so popping there on a weekend for a workshop would be easy to do.

Trust me your 8 year old will pick it up real quick! My daughter is 10 and is very accomplished in things I don't know how to do. I've never seen family workshops in the UK. You can book a one to one and bring your kid along I guess.
