Strange....
I used to use it on the right of the keyboard, now it's in the middle to ease the pain a little. I started getting pains last Friday, just yesterday the pain started to go down a little from drinking OJ, using Icey Hot and taking pain relievers. I still cannot lift my right arm in the air fully yet, but it is getting their. No I do not turn the magic trackpad around, it becomes unusable. The trackpad on the MacBooks never caused me any form of pain. You are right it is how the trackpad is built/tilt and how we curve are forearm and are two fingers to use it.

I'm not going to return it, to me the magic trackpad is more useful than the magic mouse at this point. I will be looking for me a new logitech mouse soon though. I agree with everything you have said though.

Staying a little off topic, but I wonder how you hold your hand when using the trackpad. I find personally that the position of my hand when I use a mouse is very similar to how I hold my hand when I use the trackpad. Imagine you hand cradling the mouse with your index finger over the left button and middle finger over the right button (I'm right handed). This is how my hand is when using the trackpad, the angles are almost identical.

My job is also 8 - 10 hours a day in front of the computer so I am using the trackpad for the majority of that time. This combined with the way I hold my hand may be the reason for no pain.

Also note that my entire forearm is resting on the desktop from just in front of the elbow forward and my track pad sits to the right of the keyboard, about 1/4 to 1/2" closer to the edge of the desk.

Hope this helps those in pain a little to experiment with different positions.

This is how I use it, in the middle I don't seem to get much pain really.

I don't get any pain with the Magic Mouse either, even though it looks like such a horrible way to hold it! To be fair, since using the Magic Mouse I can't seem to use any other mouse without getting some pain, holding the Magic Mouse just feels 'right'. lol

My setup has had a little update so I thought I'd share!

Added a 3rd Gen iPad + Apple Smart Case, just waiting for the Twelve South Compass to be delivered. A friend bought me a Sackboy controller holder for my birthday, he now sits peacefully at my desk!

if the anti-glare on the dell doesn't bother you, I wouldn't. I personally did not so I sold mine and got an ACD over a year ago. I still miss the the Dell's vertical pixels though.

As for the radiator I'd get it sprayed to match the iMac!

Might as well post

LONG time lurker, first time poster. Decided to make an account and contribute instead of just reading.

My humble set up that switches up time to time. In the pic is my MBP Retina, 3TB WD Essential Hard Drive, Samsung 23" LCD (but with the retina display, find it hard to be using any monitor with it lol).

Will post time to time with any updates.

Cheers
