Today when I opened the terminal, I noticed that my Hostname was set to "pc-de-la-maison". This isn't something I'd ever use as my hostname as I'm not French. I checked the Sharing preferences and the hostname there is JaxMacbook (which it should be). My /etc/hosts file looks normal.
When I connect to other wifi networks besides my own Airport router I see the hostname I expect (JaxMacbook) but when I am on my own Airport network I see this funky french hostname.
Any idea what could be causing this problem?
