On Windows there is an option to make a DVD RW disc work like a USB flash drive, i.e. Being able to copy and delete files to the disc without erasing the entire disc. Does this feature exist on OS X? I can't find it.

I am not aware of any packet writing software for Mac like Live File System. I've also not had great experiences with other packet writing approaches (Nero) on earlier versions of Windows, so I'm not a huge fan.
