I think this is all you need...
your a student and you want a discount on hardware right? Its not much and infact its about 8% or so.... it might be cheeper to get it online at a site that doesnt charge sales tax. I got my Mac with the edu discount... its very simple to do

I think he means student developer discount
The student dev. discount as I understand it is around 25% for a one time purchase of a new system. I dont think it takes forever, but I have never had to use it as I always get my systems thru Apple employees who get awesome discounts.

it works pretty good, my brother and a friend have both done it and got an iMac 17" and a dual 867 respectively
