Use this website to determine when your iPhone was made. Just type in the serial number. After that, list any problems you've had or if you've been problem free. Also add when you bought your 4S. Problems like:

Loose home button
Loose sleep/wake button
Yellow Tint
Light leak/bleeding

It's real. I've used it many times before, but I can see how people would think it's fake.

----------

It does actually tell the production date. There are numbers in your serial number which indicate that stuff.

This is a legitimate website. It pops up from time to time here on MacRumors, especially around the launch of a new iDevice.

I don' think there is another website that can check via the serial number, or am I wrong?

Reach 9 the site is legit. It just tells you the build week, build factory ect. After typing in your serial #. I've used it several times in the last couple of years.

Holy crap, someone is going to steal my identity with the serial no. of my phone!

Can a mod just delete this simply because it serves no purpose whatsoever???

Woah woah woah, relax there guys.

It looked sketch to me, and I've been seeing a lot of fraudulent activities going on regarding iDevices recently on the web.

Guess I was wrong, my apologies.

My ipad 3 was week 1 January of this year wow. I returned it because it was heating up and checked and now I got a May version. Heat has subsided a bit.
