The 2010-2012 battery has a battery rating of 63.5 watt-hour or so and the 2009 has 58 watt hour. I was told that the battery size and capacity is the same, its just the difference in graphics power consumption that is leading to the discrepancy. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Lots of different factors play into battery life, but the actual capacity of the battery is definitely not the same.
