Weekly Photo Contest - July 8th - July 15th (Theme: Close-Up)

Subject: Close-Up

Had a chance to rent a macro lens and played around with it for a bit today. Lets see some close-up shots. People, details/things.

Rules:

1. You may only submit one photo per contest.

2. Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

3. The contest runs for exactly one week, starting NOW! (see time/date stamp at the start of this thread)

4. At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible. (Judge has 24 hours to make decision)

5. The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme)

I don't feel I'm getting anywhere fast with Macro Photography. I find the extremely shallow depth of field very hard to work with - especially in Breezy Northumberland.

Anyway, this one wasn't taken with a Macro Lens - it was a Canon 55-250mm. It is a crop and it's not perfect by any means, but it's the best I got this afternoon.

This is a Clover leaf with droplets.

Somewhere Back In The Long Ago
These were taken with a JVC HD Everio...Shows I don't need a whole bunch of stuff for close up's anymore....Having said that, I'm not really that good on Macro stuff...Most of my stuff is the exact opposite!
