When I hit spacebar in conjunction to the trackpad, that toggles a window to be moved ... I'm trying to disable this, but can't figure out what program/utility it may be in??

Check activity monitor for anything odd.

Are you sure there isn't a mouse connected by bluetooth? Try turning bluetooth off if it isn't already.

You might have the setting to drag windows on screen using 3 fingers, try turning that off - System Preferences>Trackpad>Point&Click (Lion)

Its not drag by 3 fingers -- it's specifically when I click in a window and touch the trackpad while holding spacebar ... I remember setting it up through something, but cn't remember what!

So shut down all the little background apps you have running until it stops.

Better touch tool was the culprit. It was buried deep in a menu setting.
