Hey guys , I just did a quick little mockup of what I would like the new iMac to look like .

Nice work :)

I wonder if "iMac" would be printed in the lower part of the screen bezel in the same way as MacBook Pro is on the laptops? Just to give it a sense of identity from the front.

I actually gave this some thought while I was designing it , but based on the new macbook pro and iPad I decided a clear front was more in line with apple at the moment .
 
Nice! All i think it needs is a small silver Apple logo on the bottom centre of the black bezel, like you get on the Apple Cinema Display. Then perfect :)

Good point :) lol, actually, I wonder if it would be available in white... I would want it to match my white iPad ;)
 
Yes please. The 27" with a GTX 670 that is :D

Nice work btw. Looks like it came straight from Apple haha
 
Pretty cool!

A nice break from the endless speculation as to when a new one is coming.

Edit: I might agree that you should add a small silver Apple logo to the mini chin though.

I based the design on the new retina macbook pro thats why i went for the clean look in the front, since theres a huge apple logo on the back anyway .
 
not bad but as a designer myself I would make it edge to edge glass all the way around with a matte apple logo at the bottom in just a bit higher value than the black bezel. ALso you forgot to put in the iSight up the top in the middle
 
I'd buy one, if the cost wasn't too high. Just one question, will it have BluRay :D

Maybe Apple could super impose it on the screen at all times, like the watermark you get on most TV channels. :lol:
 
I'd have the front all glass, but have a glowing apple at the bottom - something to easily differentiate it from the apple displays.
 
Up to 3.5Ghz processing speed and GTX 670? Seems a bit low in terms of processing speed. It should be up to 3.9Ghz (Intel i7 3770) and for the graphics, shouldn't it be a GTX 680m for the highest possible configuration right? A GTX 670 desktop GPU is ridiculous. Otherwise I really like this iMac mockup you made, you have given me hope for next week's release of Mountain Lion!
 
that would be sexy lol and I'd buy that. and ^ the 3770K is actually clocked at 3.5Ghz (not including turbo boost)

The 3770k is actually 3.5GHz excluding turbo boost , also the GTX 670 idea is not so crazy when you think its actually cheaper than the 680m as a low TDP (only 70w more than the 680m but a lot more power) and can be soldered on to the motherboard. I'm sure apple can figure out a cooling solution maybe new side vents like with the macbook pro's .
 
Cool I Like it.

But the aluminum chin at the bottom could be all black and I would like it even more. So much more I would hit that 2 times.

All these mockups were seeing. I would bet on one either being close you couldn't tell the difference to the real deal that was leaked. Either way COOL DUDE. :cool:
