I've searched for a solution a lot but the only thing I could find was on iFixit, but it tried it and it didn't work.

Heres a description that will be better than the confusing title:
Problem:
when trying to play music, when I try to play music the play sign on the music player as well as the play sign in the statusbar (bar on top of iPod) will flicker on and off.
I have tried:
restoring it (jailbroken) but this problem was present before jailbreaking. The iPod will play music through itunes. I have tried using different headphones, and the built-in speaker doesn't work either.
Finally:
I fear it is a hardware issue, perhaps the headphone Jack? Perhaps the signal for music/sound runs through the Headphone Jack, so if it was faulty, that would explain why the internal speaker dosn't work either.
Specs:
iPod Touch 2nd Generation, 8GB, Firmware 3.1.3, Jailbroken with Sn0wbreeze (but the problem was still there even when it was at the un-Jailbroken 3.1.3 firmware)

Thanks in Advance
