I have an iMac with Lion and newest iTunes. For some reason when I now add music I noticed in finder that it's adding the music into a folder within iTunes main folder, called iTunes media. The rest of my music is in iTunes music folder.

What has happened and why has it started doing this? I always have "keep organised and copy to folder" ticked

Cheers

Sounds like just the differences between some older versions of iTunes and the current version. You can also consolidate your library which will move EVERYTHING into the iTunes Media folder... that is if that's what you're wanting. :)

mmm strange, I just do the updates as and when they come out?

How do I do this as yes I want everything in one folder (my iTunes library is stored on my NAS, and has worked like this for a long while)

cheers

In iTunes' menubar
File > Library > Organize Library... > Consolidate files > Ok
