Recovery Mode

Lion came with Recovery Mode enabling you to hold option R on boot to access the recovery partition to install a clean install.

Is this still included in ML ? Would be the easiest way to do a clean install surely?

1. download.
2. install ML as an upgrade
3. reboot, hold option + r
4. install ML from recovery partition as a clean install?

Or would it be easier to just save it to a USB?

Either way will work. I would make the USB to avoid doing the download twice.

If you do the Recovery HD method that will have to DL Mountain Lion all over again.
