So some battery acid leaked out of a rechargeable battery and into my magic mouse. I cleaned both contacts with alcohol, but it won't turn on. Not that much acid came out, a very minimal amount in fact.

The mouse doesn't turn on. Any ideas?

What brand battery? Do they have a warranty? I know with Duracell and Everready they warrant their alkalines to not leak and if something gets destroyed by a leaking battery, they will replace it (at least they did a few years back with my 4D cell Maglite and a Fuji digital camera). Not sure if they warrant rechargeables the same way.

If that was Apple Rechargeable battery, you should go to Apple Store and they should replace it.
