Dark wood skin! Retina MacBook Pro

sorry lad, not having this one. always been a fan going naked. but, interesting look (top cover only).
 
Congratulations it's pretty nice

Personally I would've just kept the lid as you did it and removed everything elee because I think it looks a little strange with the silver rectangles for the speakers.
 
Can see how some would like it, but it's not for me. Personally, I just love the aluminium (al-oo-min-ee-um 😉 ) feel and look.
 
I like the aluminum feel look. But certain parts of this shines IMO. The only thing that would be cool if everything had the dark wood skin, for instance the speakers, which is impossible I know. I guess if they made a unibody dark wood skin macbook it would be awesome, but all the aluminum parts just look tacky with it. I guess I can dream though 😀
