Is auto-brightness a new feature?

I swear I don't remember auto-brightness being a feature in Lion. It's pretty nice and cool.

Yep, it was included in Lion for sure - both on my iMac and MacBook.

I had auto brightness (if it's the same auto-brightness that I am thinking of) on my Powerbook G4 8 years ago... it's not new
